"The Broad Strokes", a local painting group, began maybe 15 years ago with a few local women artists getting together on a weekly basis to share the common love of painting. While the membership has varied over the years, it has been largely stable over the last decade.

While we mainly focus on watercolor, we enjoy experimenting with different mediums and sharing whatever we are learning with each other. Some of us entered the group with zero to minimal experience and have been nurtured by our more experienced members.

Sharing our love of painting has created a strong bond but newcomers are always welcome!

Currently we meet every Monday morning at the Grace Lutheran Church on Greenwood Ave in Hayward from 9:30 am to noon.
