My Outlook: Art is a way of bringing beauty to the world through one’s expression. When growing up I had always enjoyed art since grade school. I have kept that passion with me throughout my lifetime. Growing up visiting the Art Institute of Chicago was my favorite stop.
My passion first and foremost is designing jewelry. Secondary, I also design wool hats and enjoy taking pictures of nature scenes.
I believe that every color on the color wheel brings out a feeling or mood when viewed by the eye. I use this concept when designing my jewelry to bring joy to the person wearing it, as it expresses a person’s creativity and how they celebrate life.
My journey began in the Midwest. I was born and raised in an Irish Catholic Descended family in Oak Park, Illinois, a western suburb of Chicago. I grew up under the influence of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture with 3 of his designed homes on my block and the Frank Lloyd Wright Studio 5 blocks away. At this stage of my life with some insight, wisdom and knowledge my purpose is to design jewelry that brings a little colorful beauty into the world.
I design my jewelry with an assortment of natural stones, minerals, quartz and beautiful inspirational glass beads along with Swarovski crystals. For those of you who are spiritual, my natural stones, minerals and quartz may also be used in metaphysical meditation.
Final thoughts: I was introduced to Hayward, Wisconsin in August of 2017 and have been a seasonal resident ever since. I enjoy the amazing people of Hayward and the friends that I have made. I look forward to the new friends I have yet to meet. I enjoy cabin life on the lake and being out in nature. I am forever chasing the most beautiful Hayward sunsets and captivated by all of its entirety.
Inspirations to me: My Grandfather/a painting artist. He painted the most beautiful watercolor water scenes and my best friend at Trinity High School – Patty O’Mara. She went on to become an art teacher in a junior high school.
